The Cobbler at 1558

As he took over a generations-old cobbler shop in the quirky neighborhood of Eastown, our friend Romie wanted a brand that respected the shop’s history while signaling a new, modern-day outlook. We started by creating a custom typeface with roots in the industrial past, and enough eccentricities to feel fresh. This became the touchpoint for the brand. We renamed the shop to highlight the address and emphasize the hyper-local, neighborhood focus of Romie and the shop; which specializes in shoe repair and bespoke leather coloring and treatment.
