This local shop was conceived as a modern kitchen store with a focus on minimalist design. They approached Conduit to help develop the brand, and our first step was to identify the target audience and define “modern” in a way that would appeal to them. We created tongue-in-cheek imagery of the happy housewife from the 1950s, designing a huge sheet of wallpaper filled with iconic images from toasters to martini glasses. The entire panel was used in the store interior, and it was also cut into pieces to form every item in the business system. When all of the components, from business cards to letterhead and price tags, are put together, they form a full sheet of wallpaper.
