TEDx Grand Rapids 2014

For the 2014 event we were presented with the theme “What’s Connected?” Inspired by big data and our hyper-connected society, we created an identity comprised of multiple “bits” representing the different types of individuals who participate in the event. The mark becomes more complex as it scales – as ideas and individuals come together to create a new whole. In addition to the event branding, we took the theme further, previewing our environmental digital experience, Slate, that allowed attendees to stay connected throughout the day via multiple social media channels. By taking information that would otherwise be digested in siloed platforms and allowing it to be viewed in a single format, attendees were encouraged to engage and make connections in new and unexpected ways.
